Samantha Brown practiced as an Assistant Crown Attorney in the County of Simcoe before joining Chapman Law. Samantha has extensive experience in the legal field. Samantha spent her articles as a judicial law clerk for the Superior Court of Justice where she honed her research and drafting skills. Prior to her call to the bar, and while completing her Juris Doctor, Samantha taught in both a Criminal Justice degree program and Police Foundations diploma program. Samantha also has fifteen years’ experience as a police officer where she gained experience in front-line and community policing, and criminal investigations.
Samantha’s practice encompasses employment law, estates, family law, insurance, and general litigation. Samantha’s many years in criminal law have allowed her to develop a deep understanding of legal issues and their intersection throughout one’s life; experience that she applies to her various client matters. Samantha aims to help her clients identify the issues and resolve them in the most efficient and effective manner possible. With extensive knowledge and experience assisting people in the community and through the court process, Samantha knows that dispute resolution goes beyond the specific legal issues and often requires a holistic approach.
When not working hard for our clients, Sam enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason, and their blended family of five children, their handsome Husky/Shepherd rescue, Balto, and their adorable cat, Tia Clair. They love all things CrossFit and spending time outdoors.
